The Brigham City Temple was the second temple dedicated by President Boyd K. Packer of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, but it was likely the one closest to his heart. As a child, living in Brigham City, President Packer attended Central Elementary School, located on the spot where the temple sits today. Both he and his wife, Donna, are natives of Brigham City. The temple is built facing the old Brigham City Tabernacle, which has been a city landmark since 1897. Together they sit at the highest point of Brigham City Main Street, easily visible from many places around the city.
