Daybreak is the largest master-planned community in Utah. Part of this master plan is Oquirrh Lake, a 67-acre lake, complete with a large island in the center. The area around the lake has had trails and other amenities added to it, including a couple of bridges.
It's a beautiful place to take a long, leisurely walk or bike ride. You can fish in the lake (assuming that you have the proper Utah fishing license), but there is no swimming allowed. There are plenty of native birds hanging around, hoping to be fed (despite the numerous signs encouraging people not to feed them). You may see residents out on the lake in their boats, this amenity is restricted to residents only. The lake and surrounding park boast a beautiful view of the temple as well.
From Bangerter Hwy, turn west on either 10400 south or 11400 south. Continue west on either street until you arrive at the Lake.
