"Hold on a second," you might say as you peruse the Batter Up menu. "Six to nine dollars for ONE pancake?" Then you'll look around and realize there is a reason the place is packed full of happy diners. So yeah, your short stack of pancakes is going to be a bit more than IHOP. But, what a pancake! Huge, thick, with texture and flavor to die for. And they've got all kinds, including some that incorporate an entire meal into one pancake. Try "The Intimidator", with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and ham cooked inside the pancake. It'll be hard to decide between the Apple Cinnamon Chip Crunch, The Oreo, or The Nina. Go ahead, read that again. Admit it, you want one.
If there happen to be some in your party who don't want pancakes, fear not, there is a huge menu with lots of breakfast and lunch options. Try one of their dozen-plus specialty omelets, or create your own. Or for lunch you could get a burger or hot pastrami sandwich. Feeling extremely hungry? Try "The Grand Slam", a massive pancake covered in potatoes, cheese, and your choice of 4 other toppings. The menu says it feeds 4-6 people, but if you eat the whole thing in 45 minutes you get your money back plus a couple gifts and your picture on the wall. And if you don't eat it all.....well....nothing ventured, nothing gained!
